Extreme Logistics is recruiting 7.5 Tonne HGV drivers
Thanks to new customer acquisitions Extreme Logistics is looking to expand its workforce. We are currently recruiting 7.5t drivers to cover contracts, mostly within the North West/north Midlands, and welcome applications from qualified drivers. Duties will include deliveries and collections - an element of handball is required. Multi-drop experience would be preferred. Up to 40 hours per week, usually Monday - Friday but there may be some occasional weekend work.
Essential requirements
- DVLA Category C1 HGV entitlement
- Valid CPC / DQC card
Your main duties will be:
•
Ensuring driving is carried out in a safe & efficient manner, in full compliance with road traffic regulations.
• To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises, ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned.
• To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices before setting out & after each drop.
• To take responsibility for keeping vehicle clean & tidy.
• Ensure vehicle is in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, and are operated in a safe manner.
• You must be comfortable with the physical nature of the role. Our 7.5t vehicles are equipped with tail lifts and pallet trucks.
Potential team members must
- Be reliable
- Have a flexible approach to start times and shifts worked
- Follow Health and Safety regulations
- Have excellent time-keeping skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English and numeracy.
- Be able to fill out necessary paperwork efficiently and correctly.
Hourly rate: from £12.00 per hour, depending on experience.
